Oil Heat Technician

Fuel and Gas Instruction

This course is certified by NORA, the National Oil Research Alliance. NORA has three levels of technician training, Gold, Silver and Bronze.

This new 100-hour course is NORA Bronze level rated. NORA standards require a Bronze level technician to have the required hours of education, pass the exam, plus three years of field experience certified by the employer to become a Silver level technician.

For those that take the course, pass the exam, and do NOT have the three year’s experience, they will be awarded the Bronze certificate until they complete the field experience requirement.

NORA Silver is accepted by New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont for various licensing requirements.

Two options to complete 100 hours:
Evening Courses meet twice a week, Mon and Weds 6:pm-8:30pm, for 5 weeks.
After each 25-hour segment, a break is given, then the same schedule resumes for the next 25 hours.  Four segments needed for the Silver level 100 hours.
Course cost is $595 per 25-hour segment, or prepay all 100-hours for a discounted rate of $2250

Daytime classes meet once a week on Monday for 14 weeks.
Includes a Copy of NORA Silver Certificate technician training manual, plus many other handouts that aid the technician in actual fieldwork.
