Searching for a unique job opportunity?  Look no further!  As a specialist at our small laid-back independent quasi-municipal utility, be part of a rewarding, life-changing profession.  Hooksett Village Water Precinct is currently accepting resumes for the full-time position of Operator.  The ideal candidate has active NH Grade I Distribution and Treatment certifications, at least 1 year of experience as a Water Works Operator, and is confident in their abilities to assist with typical water system distribution and treatment issues.   Alternatively, the candidate may obtain the required certifications and experience within one year of hire – we are willing to train motivated applicants ranging from college graduates to career changers; we encourage any interested candidates with relevant skills to apply.  All candidates shall be adept at recordkeeping, basic math and data entry on digital devices.  Construction experience is a plus; at a minimum, candidates must demonstrate a can-do spirit, an ability to work well with others, a willingness to learn and an aptitude for skilled physical labor.  Proficiency with mechanical repairs, plumbing, industrial controls, environmental science or GIS preferred.  Candidates must successfully complete a job application, physical exam, background check, motor vehicle record check, illegal substance test and comply with all job description requirements (available at including rotating on-call duty and the need to respond promptly to emergencies.  Fully certified candidates can anticipate a starting rate of approximately $25.46-27.57/hour plus overtime and on-call pay.  The Precinct offers a pleasant, supportive working environment and a generous benefit package including gold standard health insurance (90% employer-paid), dental/life/disability insurance (100% employer-paid), over three weeks of comp time per year for weekend duty, flexible scheduling, continuing education incentives, discretionary bonuses, an annual clothing allowance, annual cost-of-living adjustments and a public employee pension.  No phone calls please.  Send resume and cover letter to:
