FSG Mechanic Assistant

The FSG Mechanic Assistant is responsible for inventory control, job set-up, basic maintenance of tools and equipment, and assisting with repairs of equipment breakdowns in the field with future potential to increase mechanic responsibilities. Has no supervisory responsibility.

Responsibilities

Inventory Control:

Keep track of equipment and all consumables going out to jobs and returning.
Work with purchasing to keep stock levels.
Utilize Teletrac to track inventory and work orders.
Shipping and receiving.
Job Set Up:

Attend project kick offs and resource meetings.
Prepare assigned equipment and prep and package supplies.
Work with mobilization to load and unload trucks.
Maintenance:

Maintain small tools.
Perform PM maintenance on all FSG equipment to include drills, excavators and grouting equipment.
Entry level understanding of diesel, hydraulic and air systems.
Familiarity with fabrication welding and torch work.
Assisting with repairs of equipment breakdowns in the field with future potential to increase mechanic responsibilities.

Full Job Description-

We are looking for long-term members to join our team.  Plumbing Apprentices will assist and learn the skills required of the residential, light commercial, and new construction trade while working in a full-time paid employment position with on-the-job training from our experienced team.

 

Common duties of a Plumbing Apprentice include; assisting in assembly, installation and repairs of plumbing, water flow and drainage, removal and installation of plumbing systems, cutting and assembling pipes, cleaning water supply, handling tools, cleaning job-sites, and answering to customer inquiries.  Plumbing Apprentices are also responsible for delivering high quality work and are expected to go through the apprenticeship training program(s) to become a skilled Journeyman Plumber.

M. Braun, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Service Technician to join our Service Department.  This person will be responsible for installing and servicing M. Braun products in the Northeastern United States and Canada. Travel to other areas of the US and Canada occur as needed.

Experience is preferred, but early career candidates with mechanical or electrical knowledge and a high level of professionalism will be considered.

Equipment Mechanic

Starting pay rate is $28.99 an hour per the AFSCME 1386A Working Agreement.  After six (6) months of successful employment, pay rate goes up to $30.44 an hour.

The purpose of this position is to maintain all public works, light to heavy tools and equipment in a reliable and safe condition to be available for service according to approved standards. The work involves completing work orders, requesting parts from the Inventory Management Specialist, reviewing PM check lists, and utilizing proper techniques for lift operation, tire rotation, grease, inspections, and all other aspects of the equipment maintenance group. This includes performing routine maintenance for all equipment, maintaining tools and equipment in the most cost-effective manner, recording all equipment maintenance and associated costs, using parts and supplies wisely and recommending maintenance and repair improvements to reduce overall operating costs. It also involves learning the proper operating and maintenance procedures for all City vehicles and equipment.
