GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA) is seeking a Remedial Systems Technician to support our Site Remediation practice in our Bedford, New Hampshire office.  GZA is looking for candidates with an interest in operating, maintaining, and constructing remedial systems focused on, but not limited to, groundwater pumping and treatment systems and will provide training for applicants that are interested in the position.  This position is an entry level position where considerable training will be provided to the candidate to prepare them for assigned tasks. Skills in the areas of plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, and light construction will be important to this job.

 

This position will require 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Training and annual medical monitoring necessary to work at listed hazardous waste sites. GZA will provide this training and monitoring following acceptance of an employment agreement.

 

Responsibilities:

·        Work with Project Managers and others to plan, coordinate, and perform remedial system operational and maintenance tasks, as well as system construction-related tasks.

·        Observation, documentation, and reporting of system conditions.

·        Performing routine operation and maintenance tasks independently.

·        Responding to remedial system alarms.

·        Diagnosing and proposing repairs to remedial systems.

·        Performance of environmental (e.g., soil, air, and water) sample collection for analytical laboratory analysis, and performance of routine field screening analyses. Previous experience in environmental sampling is a plus.

·        Performance of unsupervised field tasks, such as recording system flow, pressure, temperature, etc.

·        Collection of data and other information to be used in the preparation of reports, and compilation and organization of environmental data.

·        Will be responsible for data review, interpretation, and field report preparation.

 

Special Skills/Requirements:

·        Ideal candidate will possess the following professional traits: ability to multi-task, initiative and be highly motivated, work well with a team of diverse engineers, technicians, clients, and contractors, adhere to project deadlines, and demonstrate a good work ethic. Individual would function within engineering design teams involved in a variety of private and public sector projects.

·        Experience related to soil vapor extraction, and free product recovery is a plus.

·        Candidate should have an interest in remedial systems and system operation, maintenance, and construction.

·        Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing.

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·        Demonstrated ability to follow direction, work independently or on a team.

·        Experience in preparing field documentation, project specifications, and reports a plus.

·        Availability to work Monday through Friday and some evenings and weekends as warranted by project demands.

·        Candidates should have the capacity to work outdoors in all seasons through various kinds of weather.

·        Strong attention to detail with analytical and judgment capabilities.

What will you do?

Maintain and service our customers to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
Perform Customer Services, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing customer equipment of applicable products with reports at completion of jobs.
Provide technical support and training to customers via phone or email as needed.
Duties include, performing primarily in-house, servicing of Cold Storage and Temperature Control products (baths, circulators, re-circulators, chillers, freezers, centrifuges, etc.). This includes performing evaluation, repair and testing of customer equipment either in the Depot or in the field if necessary.  Work safely by following safety protocols and wearing steel toed shoes and glasses. Occasional cycle counts of parts in Depot warehouse.

 

Education

·         High school diploma or GED required

 

Experience

Experience with temperature control equipment and/or refrigeration experience preferred.
Mechanically/Electrically proficient
Pipe brazing and soldering skills
Solid troubleshooting skills
EPA Certification Preferred
Refrigeration related experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Available to travel to customer sites if necessary
Good verbal and written communications skills, highly self-motivated and sets high standards in work ethic.
Basic computer skills with ability to learn service procedures and software tools
Current Driver’s License
Ability to lift 40 lbs. or more with help

Meter Technician III

This position is an on-the-job training period to build skills, knowledge, and experience for the advancement to Meter Technician II. This a is non-supervisory position which will be consistent in carrying out the job concept set by the Electric Metering Supervisor, Lead Meter Technician, and Company Management. Advancement shall be determined by the employee’s ability to proficiently perform and understand metering systems. Prior to advancement, the employee shall be required to successfully complete a training program by passing written tests and the ability to demonstrate proper working techniques and practices.

Principal Accountabilities:

·        Read, connect, disconnect, remove and install all single phase and network self-contained watt-hour meters.

·        Identification of metering circuits via inspection or test to determine; correct installation, detect tampering, and potential hazards.

·        Identification of metering circuits via inspection or test to detect tampering or potential hazards.

·        Ensure all metering documentation is accurate according to company procedures.

·        Shop testing and programming of all self-contained meters.

·        Field testing of single phase self-contained meters.

·        Troubleshoot and repair all electronic metering equipment and associated test equipment (including but not limited to test bench, meter testing equipment, handhelds, etc.).

Record keeping and paper work:

·        This position requires good customer relations and knowledge of company equipment in the field.

·        Accurate paperwork is required to ensure proper billing to our customers.

·        Required to operate and understand all metering systems by validating all metering data (Including but not limited to; AMI, MV-90, MVRS, EMIS, all present and future meter software programs and meter test equipment.

Conduct voltage complaint investigations:

·        Programming and installation/removal of electronic recording meters.

·        Field checking for neutral and connection problems in the meter socket and company service.

·        This position has other duties that may be assigned by the Electric Metering Supervisor

Qualifications:

·        Associates Degree in Electronics or company acknowledged equivalent.

·        Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

·        Possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s license based on the requirements of the State of New Hampshire and/or State where the employee resides.

·        Be available to respond to overtime work and emergency calls as requested.

·        Working knowledge of the NHPUC rules and regulations for electric service.

·        Working knowledge of the Company’s Tariff for electric service.

·        Working knowledge of Company Safety Rules and Company Policies and procedures.

Job Description

M. Braun, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Production Assembly Technician to join our Production Department.  This person will be responsible for the assembly of all standard and custom gloveboxes and purifiers.  This individual should be highly motivated with the ability to prioritize and work well with others as well as independently once trained.  Job functions include, but are not limited to:

Equipment assembly
Glovebox leak testing and operational testing
All processes and tests involved in building a glovebox from beginning to end
Assembly of gas and electrical feedthroughs
General electrical assembly
Job Requirements

The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.  This person should be able to stay focused and have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.  This individual should possess 2 or more years of hands-on manufacturing experience.  Job requirements include, but are not limited to:

Ability to read and interpret drawings
Ability to use hand and power tools (experience preferred)
Ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis
Experience with small diameter stainless steel pipe bending (preferred but not required)
Experience with basic wiring, basic TIG welding (preferred but not required)

Assembling and wiring control panels

Journeyman Electrician
