As our project list grows, so does the need to add additional resources. We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join the rest of our amazing team in our Manchester, NH office.

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management of a project or group of projects ranging in size from small to large. He/she is responsible for monitoring the status of assigned projects and ensuring quality work and adherence to the established schedule. He/she will procure equipment, subcontractors, monitor and project job costs in changing conditions, maintain accurate billing and labor schedules, as well as provide technical support and leadership to the field. In addition, he/she will ensure that the project meets safety compliance standards, as well as labor and zoning regulations. The Project Manager will also develop and maintain relationships in pursuit of optimal customer service and long-term partnerships.
Responsibilities:
• Conducts pre-job and continuing project planning meetings to ensure all those involved in project execution understand plans and specifications.
• Documents planning meeting action items and ensures all action items are completed in a timely fashion.
• Develops and keeps current all project schedules, manpower resourcing and ensures adherence to project budget and timelines.
• Cross reference material and equipment to specifications to confirm accuracy.
• Determines material and equipment lead times meet project schedule.
• Establishes and executes subcontract and equipment buy-outs to support schedules and funding.
• Maintains strong working relationships with customers, owners, engineers, contractors, sub-contractors, vendors and employees.
• Conducts regular site visits to ensure compliance with contract documents, checks progress and resolves project or contract issues.
• Attends on site job meetings with customer as scheduled.
• Investigates potentially serious job issues and implements corrective measures.
• Monitors all scope of work changes to ensure change orders are processed and incorporated into the current scope of work in a timely manner.
• Maintains organized electronic job files.
• Provides material takeoff, estimate and pricing for changes to work scope.
Requirements:
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management or demonstrated equivalent experience in mechanical contracting field.
• 3-5 years supervisory experience in mechanical contracting.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail and apply discretion as appropriate when problem solving complex issues.
• High degree of prioritization and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office. Experience with Timberline and CAD preferred.
• Must have high level of interpersonal skills and be able to multi-task.
• An ability to work within customers operational facilities without interrupting production.
• Estimating experience helpful, but not required.
• Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, proposals and contract documents.
• Negotiating experience in construction change orders is highly desirable.
• Ability to interpret contractual documents, plans, specifications, schematic diagrams and isometric drawings.
• Working knowledge and ability to coordinate mechanical systems including steam, fuel gasses, process piping, welding, plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Ability to be on the job site daily to check progress, inspect work and conduct meetings to resolve issues.
• Ability to be reasonably on-call as necessary to support after hours request for service.
• Must possess clean driving record.
