Sewer & Drain Technician

Job Description:

Seacoast Sewer & Drain is a family-owned and operated business that has been serving the seacoast area of New Hampshire and Maine for over 15 years. We are looking for a motivated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Drain Technician.

Responsibilities:

Train under an experienced lead technician
Respond to customer calls and service requests
Diagnose and repair drain problems
Clean and maintain drains and sewer lines
Educate customers on proper drain maintenance
Qualifications:

Must be mechanically inclined
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be able to lift and carry 70 pounds
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed (once fully trained and bonused on these hours)
No sewer and drain experience required – we are open to training the right individual

Repair Welder

Hitchiner Manufacturing in Milford, NH is looking for Repair Welders!

 

Primary Function:

Repair extensive defects in complex castings using welding techniques requiring extensive dexterity, very close visual attention, and substantial welding experience.

Tools and Equipment:

May be required to handle the following: Various welding units with associated controls, pliers, burr guns, steel stamp machine, hand belt grinders, drill press, grinding wheel, tote pans, crayon, real time x-ray unit, abrasive saw, cleaning chemicals, inert atmosphere weld chamber.

Materials:

Various type metal parts (product), weldwires, etc.

Direction of Others:

None

Working Procedure:

The following are the usual major job duties, but this job description does not preclude the performance of other duties as assigned by the supervisor:

•Make welds which are subject to x-ray, FPI, or other tests which determine if internal weld defects exist.

•Repair defects in castings made from materials which are difficult to weld, such as cobalt, stainless steel, all nickel based alloys.

•Make welds which require very good surface appearance.

•Run long, straight solid beads.

•Add large amounts of metal to build up gates or nonfill areas.

•Pass certain test in cobalt, 17-4 stainless steel and nickel based alloys to demonstrate proficiency in welding.

•Receive parts.  Ensure that all operations are complete and have been signed off.

•Retrieve all applicable specifications, techniques and folders necessary for jobs.

•Store properly marked weld wire in a neat and orderly manner.

•Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job described herein.

•Must follow all safety requirements of job as outlined on the job safety card

•Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

•Complete all paperwork associated with the job.  Correctly maintain all forms and instruction sheets

•Maintain a clean and orderly working environment

•Inform your supervisor about problems that occur

•May be required to handle hazardous waste by collecting and transferring the waste into proper containers at satellite storage areas or storage areas and assuring that the containers are properly inspected, labeled, and closed as required.  Must follow correct instruction for handling hazardous waste and report any deviations to supervisor immediately.  Must attend yearly instruction in hazardous waste handling and review of current procedures if job duties could affect non-compliance.

Install Technician

The Sr. Install Technician is responsible for the Remodeling, Installation and Servicing of Car Wash systems and other related installations throughout the United States. Required to establish, promote and maintain relationships with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives and others as appropriate. The ideal candidate would be capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Hours may vary and position will require overnight travel Monday through Friday.

Entry Level Water Treatment Operator

Our Company

Pennichuck Corporation is engaged primarily in the collection, storage, treatment, distribution and sale of potable water in southern and central New Hampshire. We have two business segments: regulated water utility operations and non-regulated water management services. This field position is based in our treatment plant in Nashua, NH.

Water Treatment Operator

In this position, your primary responsibilities will include the operation, monitoring, controlling, maintaining, testing and troubleshooting of the water treatment processes at our plants, booster and well stations and/or water storage facilities. Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

Operate, monitor, control, test and troubleshoot the water treatment process at the Nashua Water Treatment Plant, a 24/7/365 operation.
Travel assigned routes to perform routine inspection, calibration, sample collection and maintenance duties on booster stations, well stations and/or storage facilities and equipment to ensure the water systems remain working efficiently and within established standards of operation.
Perform a variety of standardize testing and analysis to ensure optimal water quality and compliance with federal and state regulations and general water quality goals
Travel to, inspect and maintain assigned storage tanks, dams or intake structures.
Qualifications for this position include

Required:

·         A background which demonstrates a mechanically inclined skilled set.

·         Desire for a career – not just a job

·         The ability to work a rotating shift. Our treatment facility operates 24 hours per day/365 days per year.

Valid state driver’s license in good standing.
Desirable

Current possession of a Water Treatment Certification II is highly desirable.
Prior experience in water treatment preferred

Experience:

Certification, Licensing, and Testing:

• Applicable propane CETP certification is required for propane technicians.
• All technicians must be able to pass a pre-employment physical.
• All technicians must have a valid motor vehicle drivers’ license. Driving record is reviewed at
employment, and annually thereafter, and must meet company standards.
