Facilities Project Manager

Under the general direction of the Director of Facilities Project Management or the designated supervisor is to perform the services of a Construction Project Manager. The work includes planning, developing and overseeing building MEP projects, including the design and construction of repairs and renovations/alterations for existing buildings. Primary project responsibilities include, but are not limited to general construction projects with heavy emphasis on MEPs; boiler projects, control projects, elevator projects, utility distribution projects and projects associated with the Central Heating Plant. In addition, the position will oversee general construction projects on campus as required.

Minimum Level of Education: Associates Degree

Minimum Level of Experience: 5-7 years

This role is a full time salaried position. Maintenance Mechanic

Under general supervision of designated supervisor, perform general and preventive maintenance services and related repairs to college/university buildings, structures, machinery and equipment.

Perform preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspect belts, check fluid levels , replace filters, grease bearings, seals, etc; repair or replace broken parts.

Building Service Worker

Under general supervision from designated supervisor, to perform a variety of skilled or semi-skilled tasks, or skilled labor related to building service work for the upkeep of a safe, clean and healthy living and working environment.

Maintaining floors and other surfaces, including vacuuming, mopping and washing.
Renovating floor surfaces, including application of stripping/finish chemical, scrubbing, scrapping, and buffing.
Cleaning residence hall bathrooms, public restrooms and athletic locker-rooms, using approved methods for handling/cleaning blood borne pathogens and other body fluids in lavatories, shower stalls, bathtubs, toilets, and urinals to ensure a clean/healthy environment.
Cleaning and/or washing windows, wall partitions and door glass.
Cleaning carpet floor coverings, including shampooing and bonneting.
Shoveling or sweeping snow from steps and immediate area at building entrances.
Washing/cleaning the light fixtures.
Using approved methods and formulas for mixing cleaning chemicals for application.
Operating automatic scrubbers, power sweepers, vacuums and buffers used in building cleaning.
Reporting all items that require maintenance/repair.
Collecting all waste material, sorting recyclable materials and removing to outdoor collection bins.
Responsible for ordering needed cleaning supplies as requested.
Performing other related duties as assigned.

Grounds Worker

Under direct supervision of the Grounds Manager this position is responsible for assisting with the maintenance of a very high-visibility areas including responsibility for the day-to-day operations of all gardens; including weed control, design and creation of all new gardens and plantings. The Grounds Worker/Gardener also assists the Grounds Manager to select contractors for maintaining the over 2,000 trees University wide, as well as provide input on capital projects for plantings and landscape for both new projects and renovations. This position is 100% time with benefits working 40 hours per week.
