HVAC Technician

Tenure: Full-Time
Location: Manchester, NH (on-site)

Pay Rate: $25-$40/hr.

Responsibilities :

· Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on various equipment like Baggage handling systems, Passenger Boarding Bridge systems and HVAC systems.

· Complete tasks such as mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and motor replacements when necessary.

· Responsible for daily maintenance checks.

· Performs periodic inspections, tests, and preventive maintenance schedule and report findings.

· Required to effectively perform and document all completed tasks via internal tracking system.

· Report all process problems to manager and recommend corrective actions.

· Check the job site for safe system operations and report to the company’s management in writing any unsafe conditions or operations and the circumstances of any accidents.

· Strive to achieve the highest levels of maintenance performance to benefit the Customer’s long-term satisfaction.

· Perform periodic inspections of HVAC systems and their components to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs and recommend preventive maintenance.

· Diagnose causes of HVAC systems problems and identify solutions.

· Repair heating and air conditioning systems and/or components like pumps, motors, air handlers, etc.

· Maintain and operate a computerized maintenance program.

· Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot air handlers, VAV boxes, and all associated air exchangers, pumps, controls and monitoring, etc.

· Responsibility for equipment start-up, monitoring, and efficient operation

· Respond to complaints from tenants assisting other trades as necessary.

· Read and interpret drawings and control schematics.

· Perform other tasks as assist other trades as assigned.

· May be required to assist with system operations in emergency situations and perform other duties as instructed by immediate supervisor.

Requirements :

· High School Diploma or equivalent;

· 3 years of experience in a similar position with mechanical or electrical experience;

· Computer literacy and MS Office computer skills;

· Ability to respond to emergencies on a 24-hour basis;

· Ability to bend, stoop, climb and crawl;

· Ability to work from ladders, lifts, scaffolding and in tight places;

· Ability to pass all background checks and obtain a security clearance at the required level as per airport requirements.

· Written and oral communication skills in English;

· Knowledge of Metasys preferred;

· EPA Refrigeration technician license required;

· Passenger Boarding Bridge experience is a plus.

Job Title: Service Technician
Starting pay for certified LP/NG Tech: $36.00/hr

The Service Technician will play a crucial role in the installation, repair, and maintenance of Propane and Oil equipment and tanks. To ensure success as a Service Technician, one should have sound mechanical knowledge, be able work in confined spaces for an extended period, have exceptional communication skills, and a passion for customer service. Ultimately, a top-class Service Technician provides expert installation services and dedicated support to all customers.

This position will support our Pemi River Fuels location in Plymouth, NH.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Travels to customer homes or place of business
  • Installs tanks and/or appliances
  • Repairs equipment such as LP/Oil Furnaces and boilers, Water Heaters, LP appliances
  • Suggests areas where equipment should be set up – Site surveys
  • Troubleshoots problems with existing equipment
  • Diagnose and tests old/new equipment
  • Provides customers with verbal and written operating instructions for new equipment
  • Maintains equipment
  • Cleans up after the job is complete
  • Records and maintains stock levels
  • Maintains the work vehicle and general maintenance of the vehicle

Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven work experience in the HVAC, Propane, and/or oil industry as a licensed service technician (highly preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of propane (LP) systems
  • Advanced knowledge of home heating systems
  • Willingness to learn and grow
  • Ability to solve problems and repair equipment on site
  • Ability to use provided technology devices
  • Customer service oriented

 

Education, Certification, Licenses:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CDL (preferred but not required)
  • Hazmat and Tankers endorsements (preferred but not required)
  • Propane & Natural Gas Technician Certification: Delivery, Tank Setters, Appliance Connection & Service Technician
  • NORA Bronze or higher level certificate (highly preferred)
  • EPA certification (preferred but not required)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Position requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to heavy weights of 10 to 100 lbs. for approximately 90% of the work shift
  • Ability to regularly climb in and out of a commercial motor vehicle, multiple times per work shift
  • Good hand eye coordination, arm hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp and visual acuity to operate equipment is required, including at night
  • Frequent sitting, reaching with hands and arms
  • Must be able to speak and hear
  • Position is subject to pre-hire DOT medical certification requirements and drug and/or alcohol testing, as well as a physical abilities test performed by a company provider
  • Must pass pre-employment screening and background check
  • Position may require working evening hours and weekends as needed
  • Work is normally performed outside where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, fumes and gases is common. airborne particles

Responsibilities
Adjust, align, assemble, calibrate, inspect, and test commercial food prep equipment, electrical/mechanical and electronics troubleshooting

Qualifications
High school diploma required, relevant achievement/certification from a vocational program is a plus

Proficient in Windows software like Excel and Word
Ability to read an electrical wiring diagram is a plus
Refrigeration license or other certifications are a plus
