Bosch Thermotechnology is currently seeking an experienced Heating / Air conditioning Service Technician to join the Bosch team supporting our growing market of heating, cooling, and hot water systems. Job Description
This position requires a service technician that is customer focused with Heating / Air conditioning and Hot Water and is adaptable to the changing needs of our expanding business.  The person in this position must have the flexibility to work both in the support center and remotely as needed.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide phone and email based trouble shooting and applications assistance to contractors, dealers, engineers, architects and homeowners on hydronic heating, forced hot air, domestic hot water, air-conditioning, heat pumps.
Work with different departments to support new product introduction, provide guidance on currently supported products or assist in continuous improvement projects
Represent the business with root cause analysis in complaint resolution or technical investigation when required
Establish and maintain electronic support records of calls and emails
Review technical materials to verify correctness. Develop departmental technical documents and assist with technical videos
Provide trouble shooting and applications support internally to related departments and outside sales representatives
Provide peer level support developing others in area(s) of technical expertise.
Assist the business in continual product and process improvements and reducing warranty and goodwill costs
On-site field troubleshooting as needed
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED
3+ years of experience with a minimum of two of the following: Gas service,  installations, controls, fuel combustion, heat exchange/transfer, fluid transfer, fresh air and exhaust systems, air conditioning, compressors, and domestic hot water systems
Preferred Qualifications:

Oil service and installations is a plus
Gas, Oil license, NATE certification, Refrigerant Service EPA certification
Experience with geothermal and Direct Digital Controls (DDC) products is a plus
Strong problem solving skills; Adaptability; Willingness to take initiative
Diplomatic and strong interpersonal skills to handle customer escalations in a professional manner; Excellent customer orientation
Good verbal and written communication skills
Confidentiality, Aptitude  to deal with sensitive information
Knowledge to function as a member of a team

Essential Responsibilities

As part of the Precision & Inspection Machinist position, you will:

·       Set up and operate a variety of conventional (CNC) and numerically controlled (NC) precision machine tools/equipment such as, lathes, millers, grinders, electro-chemical machines, coordinate measuring inspection machines, precision finishing, special process machinery, etc.

·       Perform machine-control offsets/basic NC modifications, to enable the production of products that meet close tolerance limitations.

·       Use a variety of precision gages/fixtures and inspection measuring equipment as needed to complete work orders

·       Interpret mechanical blueprints, sketches, engineering specifications and drawings, etc., to determine set ups and operations necessary to complete job tasks

 

Qualifications/Requirements

·       Completed HS/GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience in advanced machine tool and equipment manufacturing operations, Or

·       Technical Certificate from an accredited educational institution with a minimum of 18 months of experience in advanced machine tool and equipment manufacturing operations; Or

·       Associate degree in a technical-related field from an accredited college with a minimum of 1 year of experience in advanced machine tool and equipment manufacturing operations.

 

Desired Characteristics

·       Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints, drawings, engineering specifications, etc.

·       Ability to perform mathematical calculations including decimals, ratios, and percentages

·       Proficiency in the set up and operation of conventional and/or numerically controlled precision manufacturing machine tools and equipment

·       Experience in performing numerically controlled machine off-sets and/or fundamental NC program modifications

·       Experience in use of various precision gages, measuring tools and equipment, (i.e. micrometers, dial calipers, height gages, special fixturing, coordinate measuring machine and/or optical comparators)

·       Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma fundamentals

·       Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices on a continuous improvement team

·      Highly motivated, passionate, and with exceptional communications skills
