Progressive Energy, Inc., a well-established Southern NH specialty niche industrial/commercial heating company, is seeking a full-time heating installer and gas fitter. Installation and service of gas-fired infrared radiant heating, a proven energy saving technology with applications commonly found in warehouses, factories, auto-shops, etc. This position is not a run of the mill HVAC job, but a career with exciting growth in a unique, very rewarding, expanding energy industry.

Job Description
The Maintenance Manager Sr is responsible for planning, administering, and directing all unit activities related to facility maintenance and engineering services, including Aramark and client financial accountability, and compliance with the standards established by Aramark, regulatory agencies and client.

Job Responsibilities
Leadership

• Understands performance metrics, data, and order and inventory trends; educate teams on key levers to improve margins
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified approach
• Provides overall direction and manages performance for all Facility and Maintenance Managers, Supervisors, and front-line employees, ensuring employee development, engagement and compliance with human resource related policies and standards, including conducting applicable rounding
• Ensures compliance with appropriate safety, OSHA, Joint Commission, and regulatory standards

Responsibilities

Plans, prepares, installs, and maintains piping and plumbing systems composed of various materials; systems may include pipes, pressure and vacuum gauges, pipeline filters, steam traps, and strainer valves.
Consults blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions; creates working procedure based on specifications.
Gathers equipment and materials for the job.
Welds, cuts, bends, threads, solders, and fits pipes.
Attaches pipes and piping systems to walls using brackets, bracket systems, or clamps; cuts or bores holes prior to project.
Installs various types of insulation and pipe covering; safely removes and properly discards of old coverings according to hazardous waste procedures and in accordance with EPA and OSHA requirements.
Inspects pipes, testing for pressure and leaks; reports and/or resolves problems.
Coordinates with manager to schedule machinery maintenance, repairs, and installation to minimize disruption to operations.
Complies with applicable safety and building codes, regulations and best practices.
Maintains records, including safety logs and inspection details.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

Successful completion of a four-year apprenticeship that included classroom and on-the-job instruction in pipefitting or related field.
Required state licenses
Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
Ability to use a variety of tools, which may include blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches.
Prior commercial experience
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Must be able to lift, push, and pull in excess of 50 pounds
OSHA Certified
